Bottle Cap Necklaces and Keyrings
These are so neat!
First, I spray painted the bottle caps with black spray paint (any color will do or no paint at all is okay). I then took a small drill bit & drill to make the hole in the top. I made a loop at one end of my wire big enough not to go through the hole I just drilled. I then ran the wire up through the hole then added a couple of beads and made another loop at the other end. Then I added a jump ring and a clip to my wire then clipped all to a key ring.
For my necklaces I added a jump ring to my wire and ran a ribbon through the jump ring (I measured how long I wanted it by putting it around my neck) then I tied the ends in a knot to finish.

Recycle those vegetable cans
After washing and drying these cans I took an old newspaper distressed it by spraying with color, wadding to make it look aged then sealed with several coats or decoupage. I let it dry overnight. Decorated with buttons, flowers and ribbon. I added wire for a handle by punching holes with a nail and hammer.
Most all of us know someone that uses smokeless tobacco? If so, check out how you can recycle the cans it comes in.
I recycle these by storing paper clips, safety pins, thumb tacks, etc... They also look attractive as an accent on decorative shelves.
Note: Make sure you wash them thoroughly I suggest you use bleach to try and get the smell out. I personally don't mind the smell.

Paper Necklaces
I made these necklaces from strips of colored paper rolled into beads. Once I finished rolling the beads I sealed them with decoupage to give them a glossy finish. I then strung them along with pony beads on cotton string.
Recycled Pringles Can
Before you throw that Pringles can in the trash think about decorating it with things you have around the house. Things like old newspapers, washers, buttons, beans, rice, etc...
I decorated this can with paper that I printed from my computer. I then took that paper and distressed it by using water and food coloring mixed together. I sprayed the paper to color it. Then I crumbled the paper by wodding it up after it had dried. After smoothing it out I tore the paper in to small pieces and decoupaged it to the can. I let that dry and then embellished it with what ever I had.
Treasure Box
I got this box at Hobby Lobby, on the clearance table, for a $1.00. I wanted to see what I could do with it and this is how it turned out.
